Red Nose Day and Break the Rules Day
17th March 2026
Red Nose Day Fun and Fundraising
This year, our school community will come together to support Red Nose Day, a fantastic opportunity for our students to engage in charitable activities that foster empathy and social responsibility. By participating in this event, our children will learn about the importance of helping others and the positive impact fundraising can have on communities.
To make the day exciting, children can wear their official red nose or paint their nose red. We understand that some children would like to support the charity but find wearing noses uncomfortable or dislike face paint. They can still donate if they choose. We encourage families to join in the fun by participating together. Here are some ways you can support this meaningful cause:
- Make a donation to help those in need.
- Discuss the importance of charity and giving back with your children.
If your child would like to wear or paint their nose red on Friday 20th March, please send in the suggestion donation of £1.
Break the Rules Day for a Good Cause
Our pupil parliament are also planning a ‘Break the Rules Day’. They actively listened to their peers and chose to support Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that holds significant importance for many families within our community. This event will not only raise funds but also promote democratic values, teaching the children about advocacy and decision-making in a fun and engaging way.
The event will be held on Friday 27th March. Please read the poster carefully so you are aware of what rules may be broken! All other school rules will be upheld as usual e.g. no hanging earrings or sweets. The pupil parliament members will collect the donated money from the classrooms during the morning.
